The Greenfield Trails Association is working to restore, maintain, and enhance our unique trails and to foster their preservation and stewardship.

WHY WE DO IT
Trails can provide a unique connection to the promotion of health and the quality of life. Hikers, bikers, horseback riders, trail runners, snowshoers, skiers and bird watchers all use Greenfield trails which need constant attention. We work hard to ensure that unique connection to the outdoors is never broken.

HOW WE DO IT
Greenfield Trails Association (GTA) takes great pride in the hard work of trail maintenance. Since 1999, GTA has worked diligently to maintain the vast network of trails that exist in Greenfield and, in some cases, connects to other town trails that expands further the enjoyment of users. Maintenance includes clearing overgrowth, raking out sticks and debris, using environmental friendly techniques to reduce erosion by runoff or overuse, and building bridges to protect brooks and wetlands.

WHO DOES IT
Members, landowners, adjoining towns, and other organizations work together to make the trail network available. Not only do trails connect places together, but they connect people and communities. So join us for a bike ride, hike, trails day, or potluck and meet good folks who enjoy being out in nature and love to have fun!
